The Samriddh Gram Integrated Phygital Service Pilot, launched under the ‘Samriddh Gram’ initiative is a pilot project conceptualised by the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India.
It is envisaged as a pioneering phygital (physical + digital) services model. Under this model, on-ground presence is integrated with robust digital infrastructure to empower rural citizens. For digital connectivity Samriddh Gram initiative leverages BharatNet connectivity to deliver essential services seamlessly and sustainably, ensuring that digital transformation leads to transformation in the daily lives of rural citizen. The aim is to accelerate the adoption of government schemes, digital platforms, and programs designed to drive socio-economic development in rural communities. The project seeks to consolidate fragmented service delivery mechanism into a unified, integrated framework. The purpose behind combining physical and digital services is to enable broader and more effective uptake of government initiatives among rural citizens.
The ‘Samriddhi Kendra’ will serve as an integrated phygital service hub.
The Samriddhi Kendra delivers a comprehensive suite of services:
- Education & Skilling: Smart classrooms, AR/VR-based learning, and digital skilling aligned with government schemes/ initiatives.
- Agriculture:IoT-based soil testing & drone support
- Healtcare: Teleconsultation, Health ATMs, and emergency care.
- E-Governance: Assisted access to citizen services, documentation, and grievance redressal.
- E-Commerce: Integration with ONDC and digital marketplaces for local entrepreneurship.
- Financial Inclusion: Digital banking and payments.
- Connectivity Backbone: Strengthened BharatNet FTTH with a Village Area Network and public Wi-Fi hotspots.
