Agricultural Initiative at ‘Samriddhi Kendra’ is to drive a transition toward modern, technology-enabled agriculture by equipping farmers with precision farming solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Through the use of Internet of Things (IoT)-based soil monitoring systems, farmers can access real-time data on soil moisture, nutrient levels, and overall field conditions. This data-driven approach allows for informed decision-making, ensuring optimal use of water, fertilizers, and other inputs while minimizing waste and environmental impact.

Farmers receive digital crop advisories tailored to their specific crops, soil conditions, and local climate. These advisories provide timely guidance on sowing, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting practices. By leveraging technology, farmers are better prepared to respond to changing weather patterns and emerging agricultural challenges, ultimately improving crop quality and yield.

The initiative also introduces drone-enabled services for pesticide spraying and crop monitoring. Drones enable precise and uniform application of agrochemicals, reducing manual labor, saving time, and limiting farmers’ exposure to harmful substances. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes to safer and more sustainable farming practices.

Samriddhi Kendra also plays the role of an agricultural information centre, where farmers can access real-time information on weather forecasts, crop trends, and market prices to make strategic decisions. With better visibility into market dynamics, they can plan harvests, choose optimal selling times, and secure better returns for their produce.

To strengthen knowledge dissemination, regular expert-led intervention are conducted in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs). These sessions provide hands-on training, demonstrations, and practical insights into advanced farming techniques, government schemes, and best practices. Through continuous learning and institutional support, farmers are able to enhance productivity, diversify their income sources, and build more resilient and profitable agricultural livelihoods.
