The initiative significantly enhances access to quality healthcare by leveraging digital technologies to bridge the gap between rural communities and medical professionals. Through teleconsultation services, patients can connect with qualified doctors remotely, eliminating the need for long and often costly travel to urban hospitals. This ensures timely medical advice, early diagnosis, and continuity of care, particularly for individuals in rural and remote areas.

A key component of this ecosystem is the deployment of Health ATMs—digitally enabled diagnostic kiosks capable of conducting over 45 basic health tests. These include vital parameters such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, body temperature, oxygen saturation, and more advanced screenings like lipid profiles and ECGs. The availability of such point-of-care diagnostics allows for quick health assessments, enabling doctors to make informed decisions during teleconsultations and supporting early detection of potential health issues.

The centre also facilitates assisted access to digital health records, ensuring that patients’ medical histories, prescriptions, and diagnostic reports are securely stored and easily retrievable. This continuity of data improves the accuracy of diagnoses and reduces duplication of tests. Additionally, Samriddhi Kendra is also equipped with Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, a pharmacy support integrated into the system, enabling patients to conveniently obtain prescribed medicines.

By combining telemedicine, diagnostics, digital records, and pharmacy services into a single, accessible framework, the initiative promotes a more holistic and patient-centric model of healthcare. It not only reduces the burden of travel and associated costs but also encourages preventive healthcare by making routine check-ups and early interventions more accessible. As a result, rural populations benefit from improved health outcomes, greater awareness, and a more reliable connection to formal healthcare systems.
